I used these as an emergency to convert an electric shaver from USA to AU power. A good device, but I'd recommend buying from a trusted supplier for long term use. Electronic power converters (and other cables/charging devices) are generally heavily regulated to minimise risk of fire, electric shock etc. (especially in Europe, NZ, Australia) - In Australia at least, big retailers often have these for less than $10 AU (think Kmart, Officeworks). Fine for interim use but would not recommend long term
