I bought these as a cheap test source for my Geiger Counter. They definitely contain 2% thorium, as my GMC-320+ Geiger Counter gave a reading of ~1.3 uSv/hr when resting on the ten rods laid out on a table (background reading is normally ~0.1 uSv/hr). I'll definitely be storing these in the garage and not in the house ;)

Haven't got the time to test them yet but package was damaged, the tungstens had fallen out an pierced the plastic envelope. There were just a few left in the container instead of the regular 10 pieces. Is still gave it three stars because I'm familiar with these tungstens. However disappointed by the packaging and losing the content...

Very good indeed. And for every one using these please, please be mindful when sharpening them....do not inhale the dust !!! They are radioactive after all even only slightly (2%) it is not good getting extra Thorium in your body !!!
