I was just sent a message with a question about this product. Someone wanted to know if this would work for his treadmill motor. Well, that’s exactly what I bought mine for and I’m happy to say that it works great! The only issue I have is that I’m running it in the US with 120vac. This causes the potentiometer to only work from the halfway point on, so you don’t get the full range of control. If you’re running this with 240vac you probably won’t have that problem. I believe you can replace the pot which is 500k with a 200k pot to solve this problem but I haven’t tried that yet. This beats buying the other ac speed controller that’s available on BG and adding a rectifier which I’ve done in the past. BTW, that device has the same problem with the pot not having full range with 120vac.
