Got these in today and gave them a go with the supplied inserts. Tried on 4140, 1018, 304 and 6061. Pushed the inserts a little on the 4140 (.125" cut/.250 off the diameter) and then went to the aluminum. Still sharp and delivering an excellent surface finish for carbides (HSS is my tool of choice for aluminum). Consider them very good value for the money, and an excellent addition to my tool chest. The very affordable inserts are a really nice bonus. Would buy them again without hesitation.

These inserts and holders are excellent. They are well made and I am really impressed with the finish the put on steel. Will be buying replacement inserts.
