This is a must have! If I haven't already said it, this is a must have. At first I thought it would only enable On/Off controls through Alexa, with more complex things being done from the phone app. However, I then discover Scenarios in the Blitzwolf app where you can create eg one named "BBC 1", program the actions (1, 0, 1) and then use Alexa to turn to BBC 1 HD by saying "Alexa, turn on BBC 1". I've also done it for all the channels I most watch, Muting and UnMuting, and turning the Vol up and down. Also works with Google Home. They both discover the Scenarios (Scenes) automatically. You can also add Automation in the Blitzwolf app to do things on a timer, or sunrise/sunset, or even eg. if the wind in your area goes above a set speed. Wow. The only thing I cannot do is turn my Panasonic Telly on, but that is because Panasonic televisions require the Power button to be held down for a second or so whilst it repeats the IR message at set timing intervals. It turns my other devices on though. This is not a criticism of this device, but if Blitzwolf could see a way to solving the problem, that would be amazing.

  • Graham Have now discovered Scenarios in the Blitzwolf app (includes multiple button presses) that can be mapped to any speech command in Google home or Alexa using Routines. It just gets better. All the regular stuff like channel up, mute, BBC1 can now be done with more natural commands like "Alexa, Channel three please".
