I bought this to aid with leveling the printer bed on my Wanhao Duplicator i3 plus 3D printer. It works perfectly with the clip I downloaded from thingiverse (ID #2828061) which replaces the rear cover. It is nice and accurate and can be reset to zero to simplify getting the same distance on all corners. Much easier than trying to feel the pressure on a feeler gauge.

Useful addition to the dial indicators I have (including a Mitutoyo for the most critical tasks). For eg truing up a 4-jaw I think the visualness of a dial is superior but bought this digital indicator because: 1) it covers a full 25mm vs 13mm of most dials 2) it can read in inches - sometimes helpful as all my machine tools are metric 3) less prone to error when used as a measure (eg of lathe saddle travel, vs "zeroing" applications) as the dial indicators small secondary dial is error prone 4) low cost for the performance.
