The saying goes that you get what you pay for, however, in this instance; you’re getting a whole lot more, as this classy piece of engineering will give you incredible accuracy no matter the angle or the length of your cut. Long before I’d even made my first cut I knew by the care, attention and time spent packing this fine instrument that this was going to be something special and I wasn’t disappointed. I’m using mine on the Evolution R255TBL table saw; however, this gauge will fit any standard mitre slot that complies with measurements of Width 3/4"(19mm) and a thickness of 3/8"(9.5mm) and any slop there might be can be taken up very easily by tightening the washers on the mitre bar to ensure a nice smooth glide with no lateral movement. There are 27 positive stops on the Enjoywood mitre gauge and of the half dozen I’ve so far tested, I found all absolutely spot on for accuracy, however, having said that, you need to of course make sure your mitre slot and blade are perfectly parallel from the outset and once you’ve achieved that, any discrepancies between the fence and the blade can be fully adjust by using the included Allen keys and by following the instruction guide carefully. Other than the 27 positive detents I found I was able to cut any angle on the mitre gauge I chose, by simply dialling it in on the gauge and tightening the handle down, as once that was done, regardless of whether I was on a positive stop or not, there was no further movement from the gauge and the tool performed with the same precision as before. The backstop which comes with the mitre gauge is a micro-adjustable set-up and to be honest, I thought it might be something ‘gimmicky’ to further enhance the product, however, this one does exactly what it says on the tin, it’s that accurate, and even if for example you wanted to add a millimetre onto your next cut, that’s exactly what you will get, right on the nail.
