it's a funny little radio and seems to me that it's not finished evolving yet as it has some empty ports on the front panel? I would also be interested in knowing about any firmware updates and how they would be installed with the USB port being empty? it would have been nice for the squelch to also work on single side band but that's just me. This radio has great ears comparing it to my many other cb radio's and the full hf receiver is an added bonus, I've only used TX on upper side band and FM so far and reports on audio were good and it seems unlike others mine is on frequency although it should not be a problem as you can alter this parameter in the hidden menu, all in all I'm quite happy with this radio as it's a good space saver and very pleasant to listen to.
