This is a NICE Instrument that will be Great for anyone working in the Field. It's small enough for Most Pockets. I found the Magnifying Glass you can see in the Verticle Part of the Instrument, in its Photo, to be a Waste of Time. WHY have they designed an Intrument that UNFOLDS (see it's Photo) but at a Height that is WAY ABOVE it's Focal Length ? Looking at the Photo you would NATURALLY EXPECT that in that posdition it is correctly set to view objects within the Rectangular Hole in the Base. But that's NOT THE CASE. It focuses at roughly HALF that Distance. So if you wanted to examine a SKIN DEFECT (for Example) you have to Fold the "Stand" OUT OF THE WAY so that you can position the Head MUCH CLOSER to the Skin ! The same applies if you were examining Printed Material or an Engraved Surface, or ALMOST ANYTHING. They should have DITCHED the Poor Magnifying Glass and Made the Fold Out Stand about Half the Size, so that the Instrument Focused on what was in that Rectangular Window. But I DO LIKE the PHOTOS IT TAKES. I think it has HUGE POTENTIAL for Dermatologists and in Education.
