This is a well built torch comes in plain white box with some spare O-rings. Accepts a standard 18650 cell. Main barrel has deep cut square checkerboard pattern and because of the deep reflector (which is smooth) overall length is a sizeable 150mm. The beam has a central bright area (about 10% of the total beam diameter) where most of the emitted light is concentrated. The whole torch feels well built. There is one side button and it takes a little getting used to. Press the button for half a second to turn on. And press for another half second to turn off. After turning on, short presses will cycle between high medium and low brightness. When the torch is on, a quick double click takes you into the variable brightness mode - the lamp turns off and then comes on and is initially stable. Press the button again and this now cycles through the brightness levels and goes from high to low in about 7 seconds - this repeats indefinitely. Pressing the button at a particular intensity selects it and the cycling stops. I think the torch does remember the intensity you selected and returns to it when you next enter variable brightness mode. During variable brightness mode, the highest and lowest levels seem to match the preset high and low levels, so it is NOT possible to select really low firefly levels. Overall a very sturdy torch, with a nice feel to it, and with variable mode thrown in.

I am impressed of build quality for this price. Flashlight has stainless steel bezel, nice anodizing, side switch button and mode memory. It can tail stand. Parts fit together very tight, I believe it's really waterproof. Can be recommended to purchase. One con for triangular shape thread in a tail.
