I purchased the Larger of the two, needed and overdue for some large Circles. Loved the fact that the Centre Pin Assembly could be tilted to a vertical position when on near maximum dimension, as well as the Pencil Holder Assembly. However I found that the Wing Nut Tensioning via an "O" Ring arrangement was not sufficiently effective too Hold the Plastic legs, from moving, when scribing a Large Circle. I overcame this problem, by using two pieces of 400 grit abrasive, fitted face to face between the two legs, in the Screw and Wing Nut Assembly. While that stopped the legs from moving when clamped, but the Long Plastic legs do have some annoying flexing over their length. I had to remind myself, that It is a Production Tool, not a Drafting Tool. It is fine for scribing a circumference on a bowl blank for woodturning.
