Q: Is the cold or hot side of the peltier element marked somehow?

Soran BG225355535 Açık 2021-08-17 14:51:50

ekorteweg no and it depends on the polarity that you applie... you have to figure it out yourself with connecting a battery to it of not too high ylotage 90other wise you may damage the peltier element and than see which polarity dgives your desired result..... you see depending on th epolarity you apply 1 side gets warmer than the orthe side nad if you turn the polarity the other way a round the warm and cold plates revers as well thats how peltier works...

ekorteweg I havent been using it so far so I cannot tell you but I live in Holland where our electric net is 230-240 V 16 A and I can mostl probably use it a regular way... it comes together with a regular electric plug so I assume you can use it in regular household environments. 10A may be a bit low but than again it should be enough well just try it ... if your fuse pops than you'll need 16A simple as that (your instrument wont get damaged only the fuse in the worst case) ... so just start to use it...but !!! IF you are also using the plasma cutter part you also need an air supply and that demands also electricity so a 16A would be better IF you use the plasma cutter portion. for welding alone 10A should be enough if not only your fuse will flip out. God blessEdgar

Q: what is the electrical resistance of the wire per m?

Soran Jack2553 Açık 2020-04-26 07:04:50

ekorteweg R = 0,268908192 ohm per meter you can calculate: rho = 52.8 nΩ·m (at 20 °C) or 5,28E-08 ohm*meter (wikipedia) diameter = 0,5 mm --> r =0,25 mm = 0,00025 m the use: R = rho* (L div A) L = length A = area. R= 5,28E-08 * (1 div (PI* 0,00025^2)) = 0,269 ohm per meter length, so 10 meters gives 2,69 Ohm approx. "div" means "divide" since banggod text cannot handle the slash character... sorry. God bless Edgar
