NH_4X4JEEP you'll need to calculate the power requirements of your 2 strips. you mentioned ws2812. WS2812 specifies the protocol or language spoken to control the LEDs. those leds can be SMDs (luke your 5050's) or 12mm huge leds.. they could also have dedicated white. you need to go back to where you bought those leds to determine the max power requirements for each strip. sorry we couldn't be more specific. Another factor will be HOW you light the Leds. Each color (Red,Green,Blue) draws a slightly different current. if you choose white, ALL 3 LEDS get lit. so, if you lit all 90 LEDs at the same time (with RGB leds), this would be your max draw scenario. it can add up. Recent strips may also have. DEDICATED WHITE IN ADDITION to the RGB leds which would really draw a lot of power full-on.
