Grant18 I use mine with a Bose Bluetooth speaker and connects no worries. Also a USB hub works so you can use a wireless keyboard with trackpad at the same time as playing from a USB drive.

Grant18 The ring is meant to be off centre. It fits into the groove of the collet for easy removal. You insert the collet into the retaining nut one side then the other, then screw home into the holder.
