It's a very nice and inexpensive RC, an altered (mostly incompatible) copy of the LC Racing EMB-1/Tacon Soar. Great fun for the price. However, there are some issues with factory build quality and the design itself: shock absorbers are overfilled with oil and need to be drained a bit (easy fix); CA glue is used as threadlock, making removal of the pinion gear and motor from the mount unnecessarily difficult (or even impossible without significant heat on the screws or drilling); camber and toe are all over the place and need to be adjusted (easy fix); the stock gear ratio is very tall, the measured top speed is very good at 48KPH (30MPH) but the motor overheats quickly; the ESC is too weak to deal with that big 550 size motor and overheats even faster; the ESC can't be easily upgraded because it is actually a 3-in-1 ESC, receiver and servo controller so a new 3-wire servo, receiver and transmitter are required to do so; but the biggest issue of all are the differentials, they're made from a very weak alloy and their gears don't mesh properly with each other, resulting in diff replacements being required in less than an hour of driving. Upgraded diffs and gears can be ordered, but that's another 30$ more added to the pricetag. Upgraded electronics to fix overheating would cost even more, upgrade that and you end up better off just buying the LC Racing/Tacon. In spite of its flaws, the 144001 is a good RC buggy for the price. There's a lot of fun to be had, just keep in mind the above when choosing this buggy.
