BG161213372 Interestingyou ask this, as I want to do exactly the same thing. There's no default, user facing, method. I've yet to take it to bits to look for some other interface - likely debug test points on the PCB. Might get lucky and there's a socket inside. You mention Rpi - as a worst case, I was going to use a pi with a elcheapo webcam runing a python script to visually read the display. Well, a bank of displays, I've more than one. When I get that far through my turbine build, I'll be back to divulge my learnings. If you get there first, pop back and let me know. ***Update*** Four phillips screws on the rear of the device allows to expose the PCB. On there I see 6x test pads. If we're really lucky, that'll be SPI or suttin. More needed than a casual glance, but there appears to be capacity to connect to a microcontroller - and there even appears to be enough room inside to mount an ESP32 or w/e. If the display is mounted flush to a panel as intended, then it'll attach to the back of the device - drill a few holes for the data lines - and not look ugmo on the user-facing side.
