BG231141421 What you need is an ESC that can handle the power you want to draw from the battery or voltage source to the motor. With a 36V battery and running at the absolute peak power of 2.8kW. You can calculate the current that will pass through it. The formula is P = I * V which can be rearranged to I = P\V which means I = 2800\36 = 77.8 A. You should probably get an ESC that is rated for over 80A and can handle 36V. Also make sure you have a way of controlling the ESC as well. Normal ESCs use a PWM signal.
