Got the 7A version, which uses the LM2679 which is officially listed as 5A, but looking in the data sheet, this is dependent on the Radj, and it will typically be 6.3A, and can be as high as 8.1 depending on supporting components. So I belive it will deliver the promised 6.5A bit heavier bursts. These will become my new preferred UBEC for electronics in my planes.

ikkebennekikke On my 7A version sits a LM2596S which according to the datas is 3A! Voltage sagged to 4.4 volt with only 2.5A load.. the wires on mine are only 22AWG. However the tiny sticker on the back says 7A...
