This was purchased to replace a similar item which had a circular florescent tube and the associated control gear in the lamp body which made it very top heavy. It also caused the actual light/magnifier body to be rather large and cumbersome. It is beautifully crafted and is easy to use and position just where you need it. I can only mark it down on 2 small areas of concern, 1/It does not come with a dedicated power so beware that you will need one of those unless you have a spare phone charger. 2/ The controls are located in the length of flex, 15 cm from the base of the complete assembly, which may be awkward for some, a more logical location would be close to the actual lamp body or the top of the arm itself. Other than these observations, it is very good and the lens is crystal clear and has no distortions.
