This is a very useful device. Has lot's of function but the main is that it keeps the voltage at constant 8V until the batteries are discharged down to whatever voltage you set. Cells can also be balance charged inside the case - it comes with an adapter cable. It's slightly bulkier that the FatShark battery case, but not by much. It also has an ON/OFF switch! The appearance and moulding quality isn't the best but that's the only half-a-complaint.
