Review of the R1 model: This is a fantastic tool for easing corners of freshly cut material. I take a light pass first, then follow up with a full depth pass and try to go with the grain. The result is the same as using a 1/16 inch round over bit on a palm router, but much more convenient. I've used this now on MDF, HDF, and oak with excellent results. It did not work on melamine coated particle board. I've tried both using a pushing and a pulling motion and I prefer the pull. I haven't had the opportunity to use this as I intended, on edge banding. It was a great purchase that I do not hesitate to recommend to others.
