This buck converter adjusts the current and the voltage. I did not test it to the 300W limit, which is only available at the higher voltages. My application requires high reliability in extreme heat. I need it to provide13.9Vdc at about 1.5A from a 17.8Vdc source and at this voltage, the output power of this converter is limited to about 18 W, which is close enough for the very hot environment where I will use it. I purchased 2 units. One of them had the 2 heatsinks leaning toward each other and the other one had the 2 heatsinks leaning away from each other. Since they were both different, I attribute it to manufacturing inattention. Both units work fine.
