The kit arrived neatly packed and complete but without any instructions; these were on the website. Still not good if you want to give this as a present to a beginner... The instructions do not indicate how to determine resistor values, or which value goes where; there is no schematic and the PCBs only indicate where the 10k resistors go: a novice can not build this succesfully. As a qualified and well-trained electronics engineer it was easy for me to reverse-engineer the schematic from the PCBs and thus find out what goes where, but I fear that many beginners will have no luck in getting it to work as intended the first time and need serious help; all due to the abominally bad "instructions".

  • Hmm, I posted a comment here yesterday and it disappeared. All I did was ask for the schematic. Meanwhile I searched online and found one. https://www.elecrow.com/download/CTR-30C Flashing Christmas Tree Instruction.pdf. I can understand why the three colors LED kit needs this oscillator to make the LEDs blink. The "colorful" LEDs blink on their own so I'm not sure having the oscillator for that kit is a good idea. they end up fighting each other. Do you know the LED PN?
