I was afraid it did not "survive" transportation, because there was nothing protective in the thin plastic bag :-( But nevertheless, the camera module works on my MAC. The two chips on the pcb next to the camera do get pretty hot, they absolutely need cooling! It would have been nice - while buying - to have an option to select heatsinks too.
