This wall-scanner works "after reading the manual carefully", quite well. But if you don't read it you might not get what you expect ;-) It is important to switch to what you want to detect otherwise the results will be misleading. It is also a good idea to practice with it - for the cable under voltage is not in accordance with the mid of the sensor see picture. therefore it needs some training to achieve good results.

Overall I have mixed feelings on this scanner. It does not seem sensitive enough for wood, and overly sensitive to metals when looking for electrical lines. It seems to pick up the nails in the joists when looking for live wires. (At least that is my theory) As for finding the joists themselves when in wood mode, it barely registers the joists that I know are there. An additional annoyance that I found was that the battery latch does not fit well. It appears that the hook itself was not formed well when it was printed. While a piece of tape fixed the problem, it seems sloppy as far as the detail work on the scanner housing. While it does work, I think for the price it is lacking. A cheapie from Home Depot would give better overall results for simply locating wall joists. On the plus side it did come with a little nylon baggie to hold the scanner.

Специфический прибор. Каждый раз надо обнулять, а то показывает провода на расстоянии метра. Пока сложно оценить работу, а в остальном корпус качественный и дисплей яркий. Имеется сумка для переноса. Посмотрим как будет дальше.

Works really well with wooden walls or p.o.p walls. But for concrete walls and reinforced walls it is a bit challenging,cannot always rely on the output.
