This is my fault. I am sure that the housing would fit a "real" Mega like a glove and the result would be gorgeous. But I have a WeMos Mega+WiFi (with both a Mega and an ESP8266 on the form-factor of a standard Mega). The ESP8266 pins are presented in a block like an ICSP header (ie you'd use female Dupont plugs to connect to them). There is no cutout for that pin block in the case so it does not fit my board. I did not realise this when I placed the order. Having said that, the board still mounts on the base-plate of the case and the addition of some rubber feet achieves what I actually wanted in the first place: (a) to provide electrical insulation for all the solder joints on the bottom of the board, and (b) to stop the board from sliding around during development.
