I had an old HAM radio power supply with a defective analog control on 13.8V 7A. This gives me a stable case and a solid transformer. With the module I have a versatile power supply up to 36V and charger for all battery technologies. Great! So I ordered 2 more modules. These arrived today, and there were minor but easily rectified manufacturing defects: The heat sink on one of the modules was very loose and wobbly. Upon closer inspection, the two screws on the second turned out to be very loose and so slightly twisted that one of the FETs has no contact with the heat sink. So I completely loosened the fan and the heat sink on the scghon built-in module, provided the FETs with additional thermal paste, and reinserted the small screws with screw locking and tightened carefully so that the heat sink just rests on the two FETs.
