Oscar Ivaleo is 100% wrong, I own both 110v and 220v versions the only difference between both is the ceramic element of the soldering iron. ALL You need to do is buy a 145 Ohm ceramic heating element, the 110V version has a 40 Ohm ceramic element, the 220v from your outlet without a doubt burn your 40 Ohm element, OP means Open, you can confirm this measuring the resistance between pin 1 and 3 of the soldering iron, it will show OL (open line), all you need to fix it your soldering iron is the correct 145 Ohm ceramic element, as far I know the ones sold in banggood are not suitable for the JCD 8898 (not even the JCD branded ones) but most 220v 80W sold in the other most popular chinese store are the one you need, it must measure 126 to 160 ohms to work with 220v.

Oscar@BaluBalu Because it isn't bad, anyone that knows about microscopes, knows this kind of camera can't give you 500x magnification, it's pretty good for the price.

You will be shocked owning this, as I was, to discover this is definitely not a 500X microscope it claims to be, but is actually a disappointingly low 32 power, measured on my 23” monitor. The power varies only a tiny bit from that number either up or down depending upon the size of the monitor you own. The advertiser has taken fanciful liberties representing it otherwise. I looked today at the Andonstar website and they are careful not to make any claims regarding the power at all. None. No spec of any kind. It‘s actually a fixed power that cannot be adjusted. If you take a still image and have software of your own (none is provided), it goes without saying, you may digitally zoom in on a portion of the image, which likely gave rise to the false promise this microscope has higher “power”. Unfortunately that comes at quite a price. The included software doesn’t provide that capability. You must provide it yourself. This only takes a screen image in bmp format which is lossy and what you will get by attempting to increase its power up to full magnification is a blurry mess. The lower the zoom you select the better the results will be. Drop back to 32 power and your image is excellent again. Highest zoom only comes at the cost of an enormous loss of resolution and larger, distracting pixel sizes. If you are planning to take movies, digitally zooming won’t help at all, since it must be on every frame. So for movies don’t plan on anything but the low power this microscope actually provides. On the positive side, this is an economical good choice for low power work. The assembly was very easy and fast. The software only needs to be copied, not installed and images came on after just moments of setup time. The user manual has been translated into English with quite a lot of mistakes. Overall , if you don’t need the power that was promised this might be a good choice.

Q: Does it come with a second heat coil for the air blower?

Soran BG493746164 Açık 2020-09-10 12:43:25

Oscar No and since it cools it self down automatically you really will not need a replacement heat element, my previous heat gun is 8 years old still using the original heat element, but I took care cooling it down every single time before turning it off, and this unit does that for you.

Q: disculpa cuantos dígitos tiene Lafuente.

Soran inmer Açık 2018-05-18 08:52:23

Oscar English : it's a true 5 digits A meter, but it works in steps, only 3 digits work at the same time, example above 500mA it shows like this 1.58XXA, below 500mA it shows like this X.158XA and below (i think) 20mA it shows X.X158A, so it's a true 5 digits but under different loads. For the price I have 0 complains, similar priced units in Mexico can only measure 1.58A ans have no build in "smart" protections.

Q: Hi, does it have ESD (Electrostatic discharge) protection?

Soran BG344436351 Açık 2020-09-07 05:18:30

Oscar The manual claims it does and comes with a ground wire on the back of the unit. So far it's a great unit, works on par with more expensive rework stations I have used in the pass and cost just few more dollars more than hobby level rework stations that have no temperature correction while this one does, already tested it and it comes calibrated with like -5ºC error according to my thermocouple perfect for all kind of micro-soldering.

Oscar The CD usually is just a free version of generic microscope software, you don't even need it on most modern PCs since you can launch the Camera app on Windows 10 and it will show the image of the microscope, but you can contact BG Support and they will likely ship you a new CD or a link to the software.

Oscar This is the most common type of both Soldering Iron and Heating Gun. You can pick a rock and find replacement parts below it. Tips for this model of iron are the 900M series, there is like 50 different shapes to choose and are available any were in the world at repair supplies stores, the nozzles for this heatgun are not the most common but it's on the top most common nozzles, and the ceramic heating element and heating resistance are also available anywhere in the world at repair supplies stores.

Oscar It comes with the wall mount, but no spare tips for the iron, it comes with a single conical 2mm tip, but it uses the most commonly available tips in the market, the 900M series tips, there are like 50 different shapes to choose.

Q: Anyone tried it with other C-mount lens? As a normal camera?

Soran chrbau Açık 2020-09-02 06:44:05

Oscar There is a YouTube video of someone trying camera lens on a similar microphone camera, the results are not ideal, but some lens give interesting results. I don't remember the channel or video title.

Q: does hotair station have heather and airflow control

Soran BG525354050 Açık 2020-09-02 03:25:54

Oscar Yes, but the calibration is way off, tested 2 units and the display temperature is 13% higher than the real temperature measured with a thermocouple, besides that it's a good station as long as it last us without breaking and it seems to be enabled to do its job without overheating the housing, but I wouldn't use it for constant non stop jobs at max temperature(manufacturing workshops) , but for a repair workshop it would work. The real max temperature is 420° (the display will show 480°) and the lowest temp for lead free solder SMD small components is 380°C o the display (330° real temp), for the price is a good product, just don't abuse it.

Q: hello, how much watts is the solder iron?

Soran joebar65 Açık 2020-09-02 06:25:00

Oscar Manual claims 45W, and unit consumption while heating is 53W, so 45W is the real value, it heats fast and keeps constant temperature on normal working conditions.

Oscar 250V at 8A - 80V at 25A and everything in between that give you 2000 watts.
