PhillipTheOne Yes I use it to record from a spectrum cable box! It’s a protected signal, I don’t know if it causes it to default to a non protected signal or if it bypasses it entirely.

Never order this lame product: all is written in Chinese only, unusable ! You did not receive the M7 model, but the M9, dedicated to the Chinese market. PayPal dispute needed to return the goods, as the seller didn't recognise this error. And no reply to questions regarding the language on the product description, strange isn't it? :)
