Took one of these on our trip to summit Kilimanjaro and it kept our phones and headlamps and powerbank topped off. Has some difficulty charging the iPhone directly unless the sun is super bright and the panel is well positioned. Better to use the panel to charge a power bank and then charge the phone from the power bank.

Took this on a trip to Tanzania. Worked great charging 2 iPhones and a power bank at the same time. not sure what to do with it now that I’m back but it seems to work even when connected to 110V.

I attached it to a big heat sink and put an 1”x6” acrylic cylinder in front as a lens. Light shines out in a horizontal plane just like I wanted.

I wanted a 110V light but wasn’t paying attention and accidentally ordered a 230V version. Oh well, cheap enough not to worry about sending it back. Maybe I’ll mount it inside the clothes dryer or under the stove - only appliances I have that run on 230V.

servos work great. modified 2 for continuous rotation. modified the other 2 for analog feedback. fit is decent, slightly more loose than a true LEGO but still works.

Q: How is this IP65? IP65 means that something is dust tight and can withstand powerful water jets sprayed from any direction. From the pictures it looks like this is closer to IP32.
