Just received shipment of 10, I always load with a battery, cycle on-off, and check that zoom works. This batch was cosmetically perfect, no scratches on lens but... TWO OF THE TEN, that's 20% dead on arrival. I swapped switch "cap" to confirm problem is with the LED/driver circuit.

There are two similar models, this is the 1517B with a sliding end lens to adjust beam. Electrically perfect. nice bright light. But llie it's other version, the 1518, has a clear plastic side window covering a COB LED light. Ordered 8 of these and 4 had the clear cover on the side COB light fall out, one of the two retaining end bumps missing. Pictures attached.

There are two similar models, this is the 1518 with a reflector and round clear plastic cover. It does NOT focus, but the reflector is designed to make the center of the lighted circle brighter, and I like this design instead of the focus-able lens because its smaller and lighter. But there are two serious material/assembly quality problems. I ordered 12 of these, they com packaged in an indestructible foam lined plastic case, so they were NOT damaged in shipment. TWO had the clear circular plastic piece holding the reflector in place fell out, could not simply be re-inserted. Several more had the clear cover on the side COB light fall out, one of the two retaining end bumps missing. Pictures attached.

I ordered 3 units, noticed the second unit switch end cap was i little difficult to open, and the gold spring inside the cap has what looked like silicone grease on it. Then I realized when I went to remove the end cap on the 3rd unit, would no come off without jaw marks from using pliers. I added grease.
