It arrived in UK 13 days from ordering. Everything was in good order and worked correctly. It runs the latest firmware, just like the full size Pixhawk. The firmware needs to be installed through Radio Link’s own version of Mission Planner. This can be uploaded from Radio Link’s web site and it works just like the official version. After that you can use either version of Mission Planner to set parameters and missions. I have plenty of experience of Pixhawk and as far as I can tell this has all the same functionality and performs the same. As the package includes the GPS module and the power module/power distribution board it is quite a bit cheaper than the full size Pixhawk and of course it will fit in a much smaller space. The plugs are of a different design to those on the Pixhawk, so peripherals are not directly interchangeable. But you can buy plugs for both types and cables with the appropriate ends crimped on so you could make up your own cables to accommodate Pixhawk peripherals.

The battery arrived in UK in just over a month. That’s what you have to expect for a battery these days. I was charged £13.40 (including £8 just for the delivery) but that’s not the fault of Banggood. The battery seems identical to the original and is very well balanced (3.85/3.86/3.86/3.86 volts on the four cells). Very satisfied.

Q: The flight controller is said to be open source. Does this mean it is a Pixhawk clone and can it use Mission Planner via the USB connection?
