Henri Vaara As a composite engineer i can tell you that sandwich structure is more rigid than solid plate when the weight is the same. These arms are 5mm thick consisting 2x 1.5mm carbon and 2mm core. Of course its not as strong as 5mm solid, but a lot lighter. Sandwich/honeycomb structure really is the way all the planes, f1 cars, decks of boats etc are manufactured. This one is a well thought frame, comes with countersunk bolts and inserts. highly recommended.
